our story
We started our love story with a photo and a school film project.
During our college years at Lethbridge Polytechnic, I, Denise, secretly took a photo of my crush, Duke. We were partnered for a film project during COVID, which became the main reason we grew close—learning, creating, and having fun filming each other, despite both of us being awkward in front of the lens.
Before we knew it, our phones and cameras were filled with photos and videos of each other.
After graduating, Duke continued his (expensive) hobby of taking photos and filming his camera-shy partner, Denise, who preferred being behind a computer—making and designing video games.
In 2025, I finally decided to join him on his journey into wedding filmmaking. We started with personal projects—birthdays, baby showers, and holidays—and eventually, our work spread through friends, giving us our first step toward bigger projects.
We are incredibly thankful for the love and support of our family and friends as we continue to follow our dreams.

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” — Helen Keller
Hi, my name is Duke, and I’m the male lead of DukDen Films. I’m an adventurous soul with a contradictory side—I love exploring and taking risks, but I also deeply enjoy the comfort of a quiet night in a cozy bed.
I’ve been honing my skills in videography and photography for over four years, and the wedding industry has been calling to me ever since.
In my free time, I love to read—so much so that I can spend an entire day with a book when there’s nothing else to do.
I have a directive creative style, meaning I won’t simply make you pose; instead, I guide you like actors in your own romantic wedding film, capturing moments that feel natural, cinematic, and true to you.
“Dreams exist where the mind is,” and my goal is to become one of the best wedding filmmakers in Canada, alongside my significant other.
A fun fact about me: I love horror movies and the Ghost Adventures show. I sometimes imagine myself as a ghost investigator, camera in hand, uncovering the mysteries of the afterlife. If the opportunity ever arises, I’d love to explore that path—or even become a horror movie director or cinematographer.
For now, I’m focused on expanding my craft in wedding filmmaking and discovering the love stories of couples from around the world.

Hiiii, I’m Denise! Ever since I can remember, I’ve been the “I-will-bite-you-if-you-take-a-photo-of-me” type of person. It wasn’t until I wanted to support Duke’s love for filming that I slowly transformed into the “fine-take-a-photo-of-me-but-make-sure-I-look-great” type.
It’s been incredible watching my partner chase his dream with so much passion. Slowly but surely, it became part of mine as well. While I may not be as skilled behind the lens, I’m confident in communicating with people and have a strong eye for detail, along with creative ways to tell your love story.
Beyond my baby steps as a filmmaker, I’m a designer at heart. And yes, I am against Generative AI.
I worked as a Multimedia Designer for three years, creating content for the Polytechnic’s website, social media, and even educational courses on Canvas.
I also have a deep passion for video games. I currently work at Mikan House Inc., an indie game development studio based in Lethbridge, Alberta. We’re developing a cozy cat shelter game called Neko House—a project we’ve poured our blood, sweat, and money into.
There are so many things I want to do that I often wish I could clone myself just to accomplish them all.
