Kay & Fra’s wedding took place at the Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta, before the year 2025 came to an end. This wedding holds a special place in our hearts, not just because it marks the beginning of our Duk&Den’s journey in filmmaking, but because this lovely couple is part of our own family.

We were witness to their story since the day they met. We saw their overwhelming love for each other. We heard their laughter every single day, even if one voice was coming from miles away, connected through a phone. We also saw their struggles as they DIY their gifts for their guests, and decorations to add life to the ceremony; their sleepless nights planning everything; and how they put all their hearts and souls into their wedding.

Even though they are separated by mountains and oceans in between, they always choose each other again and again—and finally choose forever on this very special day.

As this was the first wedding we filmed, many things happened that we weren’t prepared for or experienced in. We rushed, scrambled, and panicked, but we also learned and had a great deal of fun in the process. The ceremony and reception weren’t extravagant by any means, but the family and friends who decorated the venue themselves made the whole place more meaningful and heartwarming. Every flower and leaf was loved and cared for by the couple, which really shows how big a heart they have, not just for each other but also for their loved ones.
